As a Social Media Specialist you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media campaigns for our clients, including law firms, real estate developers, brokers and financiers, construction companies, banks, not-for-profits, insurance companies and special events. The goal is to integrate social media with traditional PR, increase online presence, brand recognition and social engagement with target markets. You will be working closely with multi-media and PR teams.

Social Media Specialist duties and responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage social media channels on behalf of the firm and clients
  • Create fresh, relevant content and repurpose it appropriately across social channels and online assets      
  • Develop and utilize images, Facebook Live and video to maximize user interest
  • Engage with followers
  • Incorporate paid campaigns
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer and Hootsuite
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Measure the success by preparing customized analytics reports 
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Analyze various social media channels for improvement
  • Collaborate with clients, digital and PR teams
  • Monitor SEO, Google Analytics and key online portals and communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Provide constructive feedback

 

Social Media Specialist requirements and qualifications:

  • Previous in-house or agency experience with PR or social media
  • Have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with audience research
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing a plus
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • BA in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
